Graduated from Aliquippa High School in Aliquippa, Pa. Carlos joined the US Army Station at Fort Bragg, NC. Served a full term in the military and received honorable discharge. He entered broadcasting school to study radio broadcasting and interned at two different radio stations, WRCT 89.9 FM in Pittsburgh, Pa and WEDR soul star 99.1 FM in Miami, Fla. He landed a post in Fayetteville, NC as a mix show and radio personality while working clubs and promoting concerts during the early era of hip hop. He opened his record store, Square Biz selling and promoting breaking new hip hop artist. While working mix shows he partnered with Duane Hughes AKA Spider D, artist and producer. After moving to Los Angeles, Ca Carlos and Spider D started Hype Hop Productions and produced 2 Cd’s with Spider D and Sparky D. Hype Hop Productions was picked up by Macola Records in the USA and XYZ in Germany. Carlos was employed with MCA Records as a mix engineer and projects included John River’s soundtrack (Colors), Raymond Jones (Chic), Stuart Handley (SOS Band), Mark Nelson (Boyz 2 Men), Greg Dalton (En Vogue) and Norman Whitfield Jr. Carlos and aero space engineer, Phil G Anderson started Cold Phunky Records an independent record label. As writers and producers they penned several songs for artists. In the year 2000 their artist made it to the top 20 in NY, NC, SC, and CT. Two of his original songs were used as soundtracks for the movie, “The Promoter”. Carlos currently services new artists with marketing, remixes, engineering, and promotions.
